In this live dialogue and jam session hosted by the Singapore Association of Motion Picture Professionals (SAMPP), we were thrown into the deep end — tasked with building a film trailer from scratch, in real time, using generative AI software. Working alongside Gavin Lim and moderated by Jasmine Ng, the session became less a demonstration and more an honest reckoning with what these tools can and cannot do: where they surprise you, where they resist you, and where the human hand still matters most.
Part creative sprint, part open conversation, AI DOJO was a space to experiment without the safety net — and to sit with the discomfort and exhilaration of making something new with tools that are themselves still becoming.
