On Love and Acceptance
Love & Acceptance was a site-specific installation and debut exhibition by pride collective, Rainbow Families SG.
Featuring portraits of rainbow families taken at Ugly Carrots Studio, the exhibition sought to inspire conversations around the topics of chosen families and the process of 'coming out'.
The installation occupied a defunct nightclub operations room at The Projector X: Riverside pop-up location. We took on the challenge to transform the space into a warm and inviting atmosphere.
Collected words of encouragement from the photography event were displayed as letters, flying through the space. The space was filled with light refractions created by dichroic film and became a meeting space where visitors asked questions and shared their personal stories.
