Studio 1914
is a Singapore-based art practice led by filmmakers and visual artists, Adzlynn and Hong Hu.
Their different cultural backgrounds and nationalities often spark lively conversations about navigating identities, regional cinema and their relationships with technology.
As filmmakers, they see the medium intimately tied to the progress of new technologies, which has often had tangible effects on image-making and the perception of what makes ‘good’ images. While they remain critical of new technologies, they are excited by the possibilities of opening up alternative narratives.
