(Un)finished Work: In pursuit of the work of pretending
In addition to being featured artists for RawGround 2026, we were invited to collaborate with Raw Moves on the exhibition design, shaping the spatial experience of the show. Responding to the theme “(Un)finished Work: In Pursuit of the Work of Pretending”, we developed a deliberately stripped-down aesthetic that carried through every element, from the entrance, structural systems, seating, to artwork labels and projection screens.

"So much of life is lived in the in between, where things are still forming and where we are still figuring ourselves out. [..] a space where artists could stay with that feeling, without rushing to tie everything up neatly."
Ricky Sim, Artistic Director, RAW Moves
Our brief: each artwork comprises two screens and an artefact. Working closely with artistic director & curator Ricky from Raw Moves, we translated each artist’s vision into the space, experimenting and finessing suitable configurations for each artwork to work within the dual-screen format. Screens hung at different heights created a dynamic viewing experience for the audience–from suspended structures evoking cosmic time to freestanding frames covered in soft fabric mirroring the duality of womanhood.
Scaffolding, steel and wood were introduced as bodies of exposed frameworks. These textures allowed the works to resonate with one another, while still existing within their spaces.
